Yesterday, twelve of our DECA students competed at the district level in multiple categories. Four of our members placed in the TOP 5 of their category and therefore will be moving to the States! #WeAreDR! Caw! Caw!

It’s official! Our Winter concert has gone down in history as a masterpiece, and the reason why is crystal clear: our incredible musicians! Every instrument sang, every note soared, and every melody painted a breathtaking picture on the canvas of sound. None of this would have been possible without the guiding hands of our phenomenal music teachers, Mrs. Kristen Voccio and Mr. Joseph Botelho! Your tireless dedication, your unwavering belief in your students, and your masterful craftsmanship are the backbone of this entire accomplishment. #WeAreDR! Caw! Caw!

Due to numerous road closures in our towns, I have concerns about elementary buses running after sundown. Therefore, we will have the following dismissals: High School at 1pm; Middle Schools at 2pm; Elementary Schools at 3pm. Champions will remain open. Families should be aware that delays are inevitable. A decision on after-school activities is forthcoming.
Thank you for your understanding of this decision made in the name of safety.

Superintendent

Celebrating National School Psychology Week!
Let's honor the dedicated school psychologists who support students' well-being and academic success. Share your appreciation for these unsung heroes in education. #SchoolPsychologyWeek #ThankYouPsychologists #WeAreDR

Due to a cancellation of a competitor and only a day's notice, many Dighton-Rehoboth staff members showed up at D.L. Beckwith Middle School to compete against our Unified Bocce team. With the weather playing havoc, the match was moved to the gym. Players had to use their rolling expertise to compensate for the different "fields of play." All in all, it was a spectacular afternoon! #WeAreDR

The Dighton-Rehoboth Best Buddies Chapter hosted its annual Halloween Party on Tuesday, providing students with a fun-filled event with costumes, music, pizza, games, and creative activities.
We're grateful for the snack donations and delighted to see the kids enjoying themselves.

This year, Ms. Larrivee and Mrs. Faria's second-graders at Palmer River Elementary wrote friendly letters to second-graders at Elmwood School in Hopkinton, MA. This project not only enhanced student engagement in writing, but also provided a valuable opportunity to develop their writing skills and strengthen their ability to ask and answer questions. To conclude the project, students connected virtually connect with their pen pals through a memorable Google Meet session. The joy and excitement radiated from every screen as they got to see their pen pals face-to-face and engage in delightful conversations. Let's celebrate the spirit of collaboration and the joy of learning that this extraordinary project has brought into our classrooms!

We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to host our CTE and Civics Showcases this week, and it was indeed a memorable experience. Witnessing our students present and engage in discussions about their impressive work at DR was a true delight. The level of poise and confidence displayed by our students when asked about their programs and projects was truly commendable. We want to thank our staff, students, families, and School Committee for their unyielding support. Our entire DR community is proud of their exceptional efforts and achievements. Congratulations to all! #WeAreDR
